Welcome to the Official Web Site of Julie Gelman, MD, LLC, a primary care physician in Melbourne who treats adults age 18 and over.
This practice focuses on wellness and prevention in addition to treating diseases.
We see patients in person in our gorgeous river-front office, we treat patients by phone who prefer to use our *DialDoc service, and we have a retail store with healthy gifts for yourself or others.
Not everyone can see this doctor in person, because she has a medical handicap. Due to successful chemotherapy for Hodgkin's Lymphoma, she becomes ill if exposed to fragrance. That includes hair spray and mousse, Gain or other scented detergent, body wash, lotions, colognes and after shave. Please do not come to our office even to "pop in" without seeing the doctor unless fragrance-free. Please ensure that anyone who accompanies you is also fragrance-free. Everyone is welcome to use the *DialDoc service.
Our PURPOSE is to provide cost-effective health care to our patients.
Our VISION is to work with fun, appreciative, fragrance-free patients in a beautiful environment.
Our MISSION is to provide the type of health care to our patients that we would like to receive ourselves.
Dr. Gelman is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, which is primary care for adults. Dr. Gelman was previously a partner with Osler Medical for 14 years and then opened an independent medical practice in April, 2011.
We accept Health First, United, Cigna, Medicare, Aetna, and regular TriCare. We are Out of Network for Blue Cross.
We are a tiny office, therefore the phone will frequently be on a message machine. Don't be afraid to leave a message. We are very conscientious about getting right back to you, and we answer all calls before leaving each day.
We use Quest Lab preferentially because they have a direct computer link into our charts.
Our Electronic Medical Record is e-Clinical, and that comes with a secure patient portal system so that patients may view their chart or send questions.
We are located at the corner of US-1 and Hibiscus, across from Dunkin' Donuts. The building is called "Reflections on the River" and we are on the 3rd floor. Take the elevator because the door is locked at the top of the stairs.
We are accepting new patients!
